The Dick Turpin.

The Dick Turpin is a family run business and has been trading for over 5 years. The pub has the feel of the local village inn and is the centre of the community in this area of Gran Alacant. Most days you will find locals as well as visitors relaxing outside on our sunny terrace enjoying a drink with family and friends. The square itself is away from traffic and is a place where children play safely while parents can relax, whether after a hard days work, at the weekend or after a long day at the beech.

We also have 3 large screen TV featuring all major sporting events including Football Spanish & English. Rugby League. Rugby Union. Horse Racing & Speedway. Away from the Sporting events background music is played at a level which is not restrictive to conversation.  

Sierra Mar itself is a lovely little Spanish Styled Urbanisation in the centre of Gran Alacant. Located adjacent to the road which hosts the Thursday Market, Calle Canarias, and extends towards the main road Avanida Mediterraneo. The local buses from Santa Pola to Alicante stop just outside of the main entrance to Sierra Mar. In order to gain access to the square you need to pass through the main gate on Avanida Mediterraneo next to the vehicle access gates about 50 meters from the bus stop. If driving, other than market days on Thursday amply spaces are normally available in Calle Canarias from here it is a short walk to the main entrance.

Sierra Mar is a private Urbanisation however access is permitted to the square. Please enjoy yourself but we ask that all customers respect the neighbours of Sierra Mar and refrain from making excessive noise when arriving at and leaving the square.

Many people believe that the large multi national brewery groups have to much influence over the market, producing larger based product from mainly processed products. Lots of people enjoy Lager style beers, and we cater for this by offering three draught lagers all of exceptional quality. Estrella Galicia, Estrella Leventa from Spain and Carling imported from the UK.

However there is another side to the brewing industry and the UK produces an abundance of very different and distinct beers all with tottaly diferent flavours and character.

Often these beers are produced by smaller  independent companies that produce beers which offer a wider variety of taste and choice. Here at The Dick Turpin we give you the opportunity to sample not only  locally produced products but also a range of these fine ales.

Membership of The British Golf Club Spain can b arranged here at The Dick Turpin.  Membership offers you discounts of green fees and also discounts at collaborating businesses.  This includes Golfing Equipment Supplies and Restaurants.  Annual membership is only €10 and you can pick up your application here at the bar.

The British Golf Club also arrange regular tournaments.  The next event will take place at Roda Golf on Friday 9^th May and you can reserve your entry at The Dick Turpin.
