Abbot Ale 5.0%. Greene King Brewery Suffolk

Abbot Ale is brewed with pale crystal and amber malts to give an attractive colour and rich malty taste. Challenger hops give it bitterness with a spicy overtone and to really boost the taste and aroma to the maximum it is late-hopped with Fuggles to provide the floral tones and fruity esters.

“Abbot is a really creamy beer, and although its coming in at 5% remarkably quaffable”.

Adnams The Bitter 4.2%. Adnams Bewery Suffolk

Adnams The Bitter is a refreshing beer of real flavour, distinctively hoppy and deliciously dry - perfect served cool.

“SSB is a favourite, straight out of the fridge and for some strange reason it evaporates – better get another”

Bishops Finger 5.4%. Shepherd Neame Brewery. Faversham

Ample use of crystal malts gives this strong ale its ember-warm, autumnal colours. Multi-layered aromas combine notes. If you’re expecting a sweet beer, though, think again: this is as complex and dense as plum pud, but there’s a wealth of Seville-orange marmalade and pine-forest hops to keep the finish pungently dry.

“A mighty brew and not for those without the faith! A great colour and taste to match for those that need a moment of reflection – I’m converted... more tea vicar?”

Bitter & Twisted 4.2%. Caledonian Brewery Edinburgh

Caledonian has been brewing fine beers in Edinburgh since 1869, and is the only survivor of the 40 plus breweries that operated in Edinburgh during the 1800s. Rescued from potential closure in 1987 by a team of dedicated investors, who were ably supported by a highly skilled workforce, the company set about establishing the renaissance of Scottish Cask Conditioned Beer. The Caledonian Brewing Co. Ltd., remains an independently owned company.

Blandford Fly 5.2%.  Badger Ales Dorset

Blandford Fly is an unusually refreshing premium ale, subtly spiced with ginger for EXTRA BITE!!

 Broadside 6.3%. Adnams Brewery Suffolk

A fine heart-warming English beer, Broadside is rich in flavours of malt and hops.

“Any beer that has a 6.3% ABV is a bit of a beast and Broadside is no exception. A great beer for the end of a tough hot day. But don’t tell all your mates or they will just drink you dry!”

Caledonian 80/- 4.1%.  Caledonian Brewery Edinburgh

Caledonian 80/- is a russet brown coloured beer, creamy and fruity with a late hoppy finish. Strongly delivers the Caledonian Brewery tradition: quality ingredients brewed

“When I was a young lad in Scotland the only 2 choices of beer were heavy and, ummm, lager. The heavy was nothing like this and had it been around at the time in big way perhaps the likes of mc export would have had an early deserved death. Great beer from a very nice company.in unique direct fired open coppers.”

Fiddler's Elbow is Wychwood’s golden and refreshing beer and evokes the lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows and ripe corn fields. The addition of the choicest English wheat malt perfectly complements the use of Styrian Goldings hops. The end result is a wonderful combination of citrus and floral aroma, with tart citric fruit flavours and a long hoppy fruity finish.

Greene King IPA Export 5.0%. Green King Brewery Suffolk

Greene King IPA is a great tasting beer, characterised by its fresh, hoppy taste and clean, bitter finish

There's only one description for Hen's Tooth – the nearest thing to real ale in a bottle. Its balanced blend of strong, rich flavours leads to a satisfyingly smooth, clean finish. The active yeast in the bottle continues to condition and mature the ale through its life, producing not only the wonderful flavours but also a smooth, foamy head

“A corker! But a beer that demands a lot of respect at a massive 6.5%! It makes a rare visit to Spain and like its name will be rarely seen – so get on and buy some.”

Hobgoblin is a powerful full-bodied copper red, well-balanced brew. Strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end

Old Speckled Hen 5.2%.  Green King Brewery Suffolk

Old Speckled Hen has a wonderful, warm flavour bursting with body. Malt loaf and toffee flavours combine with a bitterness on the back of the tongue to give a beautiful balanced sweetness without being cloying.

“Old Speckled Hen was named after an old MG (both were made Oxford) and like the car this is an exceptional ale. Coming in at a healthy 5.2% its not for the faint hearted. It also sells more than Newcastle Brown Ale!”

Ruddles County 4.7%. Green King Brewery Suffolk

Ruddles County is famed for its dry, bitter flavour, which comes from using the rare Bramling Cross hops. Many liken the flavour to burnt toffee and caramel which, when combined with the dry bitterness, gives a very pleasing taste. It really is the ultimate bitter-lovers' bitter.
